CCNA Security Course Description

This 7-day instructor-led Cisco Training Camp is designed specifically to prepare students for successful completion of the CCENT, CCNA & CCNA Security Certification Exams. Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security) validates the ability to secure Cisco networks. With this training course, networking professionals will gain the skills required to develop a security infrastructure, recognize threats and vulnerabilities to networks, and mitigate security threats.

Prerequisites

This course is intended for students with one year of networking experience.

• Routing and switching
• The TCP/IP and OSI models
• IP addressing & WAN technologies
• Operating and Configuring IOS devices
• Configuring Routing Information Protocol Version 2 (RIPv2)
• Static and default routing
• Implementing NAT and DHCP, & configuring simple networks
• VLSM and IPv6 addressing
• Extending switched networks with VLANs
• Configuring, verifying and troubleshooting VLANs
• VTP, RSTP, OSPF and EIGRP protocols
• Determining IP routes & managing IP traffic with access lists
• NAT and DHCP
• Establishing point-to-point and Frame Relay connections
• Core security technologies
• The installation, troubleshooting and monitoring of network devices to maintain integrity
• Confidentiality and availability of data and devices
• Competency in the technologies that Cisco uses in its security structure
